You Have Been Becoming All Along

Maybe nothing is obviously wrong. You are still showing up.Still handling what needs to be handled. Still caring for your family. Still working. Still serving. Still pushing forward. But underneath all that capability, something feels unsettled.

A season changed. Your children grew. Your career shifted. A relationship changed. A dream changed. You changed. And now a question that once seemed easy feels strangely difficult:

Who am I?

Not what do you do. Not who needs you. Not what you have accomplished. Not what role are you filling in this season.

Who are you?

Becoming was written for that question.

About the Book

You Do Not Need Another Thing to Achieve.

You need space to become.

Becoming is a 60-day faith-rooted devotional created for women who are tired of measuring themselves through productivity, performance, approval, responsibilities, and the expectations attached to the many roles they carry.

It is an invitation to examine what has shaped the way you see yourself. To recognize shame-based thinking. To notice where striving has quietly replaced peace. To question the labels you have carried. To recognize the difference between your identity and your roles. To stop postponing your life until “someday.” And most importantly, to bring those questions back to God. This journey does not ask you to manufacture a new identity. It invites you to become more aware of the woman God has been forming all along.

Contemplating at Work

This book may be for you if...

You are accomplished, but still wonder whether you are doing enough. You are constantly busy, yet unsure whether all that activity is actually moving you toward the life you want to live. You have spent years caring for other people and have difficulty identifying your own needs. Motherhood or another major season of life has changed, and you are struggling to understand who you are now. You are tired of waiting for “someday” to finally make room for the things God has placed on your heart. You wrestle with perfectionism, achievement, comparison, shame, or the need to prove yourself. You love God, yet still struggle to see yourself the way He sees you. You know there is more, but you are not completely sure what the next season is supposed to look like.

If any of that sounds familiar, you are not alone.

The Heart Behind Becoming

A Note from Audra

I did not begin writing Becoming because I had mastered every lesson inside it. I wrote from a journey I had lived. There have been seasons when I could easily tell you what I was doing, what I was responsible for, what I was working toward, and who needed me, yet answering a much simpler question felt harder:

Who am I?

I know what it is like to strive. To achieve. To keep moving. To believe that perhaps the next accomplishment, next season, next opportunity, or next version of life will finally make everything clear. And I also know what happens when God begins asking you to look deeper.

Many of the words that became Becoming were first written while I was walking through my own questions about identity, purpose, faith, fear, growth, and what it means to live from truth rather than performance.

Eventually I realized those words were not meant to remain private. This book is my invitation to you to enter that conversation too. Not so I can tell you exactly who you should become. You can create enough space to listen, reflect, pray, question what you have believed, and hear God more clearly for yourself.

You do not have to have your entire future figured out. You only have to be willing to take the next faithful step.

The Lie of Someday

What are you waiting to begin?

When life finally slows down. When the kids get older. When work settles down. When you feel more confident. When you have more time. When you know exactly what God is asking you to do. When you finally feel ready. Someday can sound responsible. Sometimes it is fear wearing a more acceptable name. There will always be another season. Another responsibility. Another reason to wait.

Becoming challenges you to stop postponing the life you have been given while waiting for circumstances to become perfect. You do not have to know the entire road. You can begin with the step in front of you.

Not Just Another Devotional

This Is an Invitation to Pay Attention.

For 60 days, Becoming creates intentional space to examine the beliefs, expectations, roles, patterns, questions, and experiences that have shaped the way you see yourself.

Not from condemnation. From awareness. Not so you can become more productive. So you can become more present. Not so you can construct a more impressive version of yourself. So you can become more deeply rooted in truth. Because transformation rarely begins with doing more. Sometimes it begins when we finally become quiet enough to recognize what has been driving us all along.

Confident Professional Woman

For the Woman in the Middle of Becoming

You do not have to wait until you have arrived. You do not have to have everything figured out. You do not need another title, accomplishment, role, credential, or person's approval to prove that your life has value. God is not waiting for a future version of you before He can use you. There is purpose in this season. There is growth in this season. There is grace in this season. And perhaps becoming is less about turning yourself into someone new and more about allowing God to reveal what has been there all along.
